“Witch & Wizard: The Fire” by James Patterson

Wisty and Whit are at it again, trying to defeat The One Who is the One for good. The resistance has been split and the blood plague has hit hard. People are dying every time they turn around.  But as the book progresses our main characters learn a lot about themselves and how to control their Magic. They are faced with hard choices and a feeling that they might not get out of it alive.

We go through their journey with them as they find their courage to do what is needed to be done. To defeat The One Who is The One. To save the world from this tyrant and the havoc he wreaks wherever he goes.

Patterson does an amazing job at keeping you on the edge of your seat. Just when things are getting good and you are biting your nails he switches gears and characters. Now I don’t want to tell you too much because I am not a spoiler. But man oh man oh man, you don’t want to miss this part of the journey.

There are times where even you will want to throw up your hands and give up. There will be times when you can’t believe that a character would act like that. There are times where even you will want to turn Byron into a weasel. But it is all for the love of the book and the Overworld.

I encourage you to read the Witch & Wizard series, it is entertaining and anyone of any age can read it. My oldest and I are reading it together (I am currently a book ahead). So if you have a book that you love, drop the title in the comments and I will give it a try. Until then… ME!
